Trapani-Segesta: by car motorway A29 Segesta exit - Trapani-Selinunte:
by car motorway A29 Castelvetrano exit then take the SS 115 road. | Archaeological itinerary - Day
1 : Morning: Visit of Trapani historic centre. Recommended visit
to the cathedral and the museum of prehistory housed in the Ligny tower
on the most western point of the city. Afternoon: a relaxing afternoon
either shopping in the characteristic streets of the historic centre or, weather
permitting on the, San Giuliano Beach. Archaeological itinerary - Day
2: Morning and Afternoon: Excursion to the Summit of Erice. Unmissable is the sunset
seen from the Castle of Venus when the sun sets over the
Egadi islands into the sea. Archaeological itinerary - Day 3: Morning:
Drive towards Marsala and the ancient Phoenician settling on the island of Mothia. Along the road a stop at the Salt pans and salt museum is recommended.
Once in Mothia, tour of the island and its museum Afternoon: A choice
between continuing on to Marsala, or spending another afternoon by
the sea. If you choose the sea, a stop at the free beach of Marausa Lido is recommended.
(half way between Trapani e Mothia). Archaeological itinerary - Day 4: Morning
and Afternoon:Taking motorway A29 you can reach Segesta (about 20 minutes by car) and spend
the whole day there. A visit to the thermal baths is recommended. Archaeological itinerary - Day
5: Morning and Afternoon: Taking A29 you can reach the second
stage of the itinerary: Selinunte (about 1 hour by car). A Selinunte,
a stay of 2 days id recommended in order to fully experience the beauty of the
area. Archaeological itinerary - Day 6: Morning and Afternoon:
Selinunte, sea or visit to the archaeological
